So India Today decided to Photoshop a ‘Popular Sikh style’ Turban on an alleged Al Qaeda militant. They even used that specific frame in their twitter feed.
This is not the first time Indian media have stooped so low, and is precisely the reason for its plummeting reputation as a pillar of society and hence damning of society itself.
This is India Today’s News-
Zakir Musa, the designated al-Qaeda chief in India is believed to be trapped in Noorpora area of Tral in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have cordoned off the area where Musa is believed to be hiding in a house.
Villagers poured out of their homes and pelted stones on Friday after security forces cordoned off the village. The clashes erupted as the security forces began conducting house-to-house searches in Noorpora village in Pulwama district.
Police said more security personnel, including the police, the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force, had been rushed to the area and three more villages were brought under the extended cordon.
