A 23-year-old woman was allegedly abducted by two mini-truck-borne persons late on Sunday night.
Few minutes after abducting her, she was thrown out of the car a few metres away from the spot from where she was abducted.
The police have nabbed two employees of Las Vegas Resto Bar, located on PAU Road. They have been identified as Narseh Bahadur, a native of Nepal, and Manoj from UP. They have been booked under Section 354A, 354B IPC. The mini-truck has also been impounded.
The woman is undergoing treatment at DMC hospital and is under the influence of some drugs due to which she has not been able to give her complete statement.
Her identity is also a mystery. Earlier, she told the police that she was from Faridabad, but some photographs found from her bag suggested that she was from Etawah in UP.
DCP Dhruman Nimbale said the woman was standing near Saggu Chowk and she had sought lift of the mini-truck. When she got in, the accused allegedly tried to outrage her modesty. After she protested, she was dumped on the road near Saggu Chowk.
Vinod Kumar, an eye witnesses, at 1.30 am he heard some noises from the street. When he came outside, he saw two men thrashing a woman. Later, they took her in a vehicle. Some distance away, they threw the woman from the vehicle and fled.

The girl, who was thrown out of a car the next morning, continues to be in critical condition in hospital.
The spokesman of Capt Amarinder Singh said that the criminal gangs were on the lose in the state and move freely, without fear of the law enforcement agencies, clearly indicating that they have the patronage of the state leadership, said PPCC leaders Avtar Henry, Amarjit Samra, Rana KP Singh and Tripit Rajinder Singh Bajwa, alleging wholesale criminalization of Punjab at the hands of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
